The closest I have come to wrecking the car...

Welllll thinking about it now, I really wonder how i managed not to!!!!

It was a narrow sidelane with bushes on 1 side and the road dug up on the other side and slush bordering the road or what remained of it.I guess this is typical of most roads in Blore...Anyways... so....I had this brilliant idea of swerving to the left to avoid a speeding truck coming towards me.Brilliant because that landed the front left tyre into a ditch.I think it was a drain or sumthing whose lid was missing and was camouflaged by the bushes that spread over it. And the moment I realized wat had happened I tried in vain to backup.Then as I got out of the car to examine what exactly I had manged to do, this person who was driving by stopped and asked me what had happened.I was tempted to say sumthng like wanted to c how the car looks at this angle,but luckily i dont speak wats on my mind so easily and also the expression on the guys face read something in the lines of "women!!!! they should be banned from driving!!!!" so he would have probably believed that tht was indeed wat I was doing.So back to this good samaritian..he then examined the tyre and gave his gloomy prognosis, that I was in the ditch...and that backing up wont work..and while I was very nervously completing his sentences as to why this was a grave situation and praying fervently that I hadnt damaged the axle, a group of men who were working at the construction site came towards the car and without saying a word just lifted the car out of the ditch.One of the men then drove the car away onto the other side of the road, I guess just to ensure that I dont drive it right back into the ditch ;-)And as i was thanking all of them, the first good samaritian reminded me that I was lucky that nothing happened to the car....well ya, but I guess luckier that there were these people there who came to help me out who have reaffirmed my belief in the fact that 'action speaks louder than words' just when I had been contemplating on whether that is indeed true..well thats an entirely different subject now....So anyways Lucky me!
